My Profile
HEAR/HEAR
Toronto, Ontario
The mandate of NOW HEAR THIS! is to establish meaningful, mutually beneficial relationships between writers and members of the local community (including youth, aspiring writers and community organizations).
In just a few short years NOW HEAR THIS! has established Toronto’s first ever ongoing writers-in-schools program; published a professional bound anthology, The Armadillo; and created a 13-publication Zine Series of student writing. Most recently we have launched the HEAR/HEAR Reading Series featuring our talented writers-in-residence and we are currently working on publishing our 2nd anthology, The Barracuda.
HEAR/HEAR celebrates local authors who are spreading excitement about writing to youth in our community through NHT!’s literacy workshops.
